A Compliance Specialist oversees 500 units of an affordable housing portfolio in Long Beach.

Their mission is to create and maintain quality housing for low-income families and individuals. We are actively seeking a Compliance Specialist to join the team in Long Beach, CA.

Your new role

• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, specifically Project Based Section 8.
• Utilize Yardi and RentCafe software proficiently.
• Assist with tax credit and RightSource compliance (preferred but not required).
• Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to address compliance issues.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with HUD regulations, specifically Project Based Section 8.
• Proficiency in Yardi and RentCafe software.
• Experience with tax credit and RightSource compliance is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
