Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in Employment Law, Risk, Compliance, HR, Labor Relations, or Employee Relations.
• Experience in creating and executing operational processes to implement policies such as HR compliance, in-house employment law, contingent workforce management/extended workforce, regulatory, or risk.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience reviewing business processes, extended workforce, and vendor Statements of Work (SOWs) for compliance and co-employment risk factors.
• Experience in project/program management, influencing leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in process design or improvements for efficiency, scale, and quality.
• Experience analyzing data to identify trends and support decision-making on compliance and risk issues.
• Understanding of co-employment risks between multinational companies and contingent/vendor workforces.

Google's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team aims to optimize outsourced operations, reduce risks, and enforce best practices and policies. The team supports informed decision-making to ensure compliance with laws and regulations across global jurisdictions, focusing on mitigating legal, reputational, and financial risks associated with engaging a large extended workforce, including co-employment and labor claims.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $131,000-$192,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation varies by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. More details are available during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage scaled risk remediation programs, including co-employment and labor risk strategies globally.
• Lead risk management related to extended workforce and co-employment, including workforce classification and vendor engagement policies.
• Provide compliance advice to stakeholders across Google and Alphabet.
• Create and deliver training for vendor managers and stakeholders on best practices and risk mitigation.
• Stay informed on new risk domains, connect related workstreams, and advise holistically on compliance issues.
