Job summary

Plan International USA is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee core compliance operations, including regulatory filing coordination, policy and template management, and data privacy processes.

The role acts as a central coordinator across internal teams and external counsel, ensuring legal, ethical, privacy, safeguarding, and nonprofit accountability obligations are met in a staff-friendly way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in compliance operations, regulatory filings, privacy, safeguarding, or related field preferred.
• Strong ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly to staff across functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance operations including regulatory filings, policy management, and records retention.
• Serve as primary contact for staff on compliance inquiries and coordinate with external counsel and paralegal support.
• Track regulatory developments and flag issues to legal leadership.
• Maintain policy review processes and publish updated materials on intranet.
• Manage data privacy operations and incident tracking in collaboration with IT and legal teams.
