Job summary

Avadian Credit Union is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to ensure enterprise wide regulatory adherence and to design a risk-focused compliance testing program across all departments. The role monitors evolving regulations, recommends policy enhancements, and supports governance and risk oversight.

The position involves serving as a subject matter resource for staff, assisting in policy development and disclosures, and contributing to the Enterprise Risk Management and Business

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing credit union or bank operations.
• Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough research, interpret laws and regulations, and provide workable recommendations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Five to eight years of compliance or audit experience in a credit union or bank.
• College degree with compliance focus or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor applicable laws and regulations to ensure enterprise-wide compliance and revise policies as necessary.
• Conduct compliance testing and report findings with timely resolutions.
• Independently manage corrective actions to prevent non-compliance and mitigate risk.
• Provide guidance on compliance-related regulations, policies, and procedures to staff.
• Assist in development and revision of marketing, forms, disclosures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management program with risk assessments and reporting.
• Maintain ongoing training to stay current with compliance requirements.
• Support business continuity program and periodic tabletop exercises.
• Provide support during audits or examinations as needed.
• Follow all BSA/OFAC policies and procedures.
