Percy is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Expert to join our product and affordable compliance team in New York, NY, with remote work considered for the right profile. You'll review system-generated tenant income certifications, identify errors, and document improvements for engineers.

You'll translate LIHTC, HUD, and USDA RD requirements into clear product guidance, work with customers to gather needs, and help scale the team as adoption grows.

Qualifications

• You have completed tenant income certifications, recertifications, and eligibility reviews from source documents.
• Deep knowledge of LIHTC and at least one HUD program (PBRA, HCV, PBV, 202/811); USDA RD is a plus.
• 4–6 years in affordable compliance; flexible in either direction.
• Clear communicator with technical teams; no coding required.
• COS, TCS, HCCP, SHCM, MORS, or CPO preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

We're currently seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Expert to join a product and affordable compliance team based in New York, NY, with remote work considered for the right profile.

This is not a compliance seat at an operator. Part of the job is looking at a tenant income certification the software-generated and marking what it got wrong, line by line. Part is sitting with compliance teams at large affordable operators to hear what they need. Part is telling product and engineering what to build next. If you've spent your career doing the paperwork, this is the chance to fix it instead.

What you'll do

• Review system-generated tenant income certifications and eligibility determinations, find the errors, and explain why they're wrong in terms an engineer can act on
• Translate LIHTC, HUD, and USDA RD requirements into clear product guidance
• Work directly with customers to gather programmatic needs and edge cases
• As the product scales, guide the team doing manual review

What we're looking for

• You have personally completed tenant income certifications, recertifications, and eligibility file reviews from source documents, and you're willing to keep doing that work near-term
• Real depth in LIHTC plus at least one HUD program (PBRA, HCV, PBV, 202/811). USDA RD is a plus
• Roughly 4-6 years in affordable compliance, flexible in either direction. Your title today might be Compliance Specialist, Compliance Manager, Property Manager, Occupancy Specialist, or Housing Specialist at a PHA, contract administrator, or compliance vendor
• Clear communicator with technical teams. No coding required
• COS, TCS, HCCP, SHCM, MORS, or CPO preferred. If you're strong without one, they'll pay for it
• Bachelor's Degree required
