Job summary

Fourth Floor in New York seeks a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee testing, regulatory compliance, and supplier audits. You will manage communications between factories, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality expectations are met and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years in wholesale/home goods quality, with strong analytical, cross-functional collaboration, and data integrity skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in wholesale, preferably in home goods space.
  • Experience with quality assurance, compliance product testing and specifications.
  • Experience with testing programs and factory compliance of retailers such as Walmart, Target, & Costco is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and supporting compliance strategies.
  • Demonstrated track record of executing a quality management system that deliver exceptional quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid ability to foster relationships, work cross-functionally, and communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences.
  • Capability to navigate uncertainty and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Able to wear multiple hats while meeting deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communication between factory/suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Execute and improve quality testing programs.
  • Oversee product schedule for testing, inspections, and audits.
  • Understand results and spearhead action plans with vendors.
  • Work with vendors to ensure compliance.
  • Request/review supplier audits, test reports and escalates issues in timely manner.
  • Analyze key safety and quality data, recap and share findings and propose action.
  • Ensure integrity of data across product, packaging, supplier facilities, and other key assets.
  • Own specification and label change management.
  • Serve as resource for various in-house quality/compliance inquiries.
  • Provide insight and drive continuous improvement for procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor current and upcoming federal, state, and local regulatory activities.
  • Evaluate products to ensure compliance with testing standards and requirements.
  • Provide support onboarding and setting up New Factories/ Suppliers.
  • Manage and resolve testing failures and non-compliance with Factories/Suppliers.
  • Maintain documentation and update testing status on internal systemsCommunicate potential issues to cross function teams.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management in support of the company needs and operations
