Job Summary

A growing organization in Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a compliance professional who enjoys building strong programs, interpreting complex regulations, improving business processes, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and operational teams. The Compliance Manager will oversee regulatory compliance, claims management, policy development, audits, risk controls, training initiatives, and regulatory change management. This position offers meaningful visibility across the organization, the opportunity to guide compliance strategy, and the ability to lead and mentor compliance team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee compliance programs, policies, procedures, control systems, and business processes to support regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Manage claims-related activities, including potential health-related and medical malpractice claims that may be eligible for FTCA coverage, and serve as the primary claims point of contact.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, monitoring, testing, research, and reporting to identify risks, document findings, and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Track federal and state laws, regulatory guidelines, and industry requirements, then coordinate with impacted business units to implement operational or policy changes.
  • Advise senior leadership and management on compliance matters, risk management strategies, policy development, regulatory changes, and business operations.
  • Identify training needs, support employee compliance education, review marketing and disclosure materials, and supervise Compliance Specialist I and Compliance Specialist II roles.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience responding to regulatory requests, producing documents, and supporting or leading regulatory exams.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance monitoring, internal controls, policy development, risk management, and regulatory change management.
  • Ability to communicate regulatory rules and requirements clearly to leadership, staff, and supported business units.
  • Strong PC skills, including experience using standard office equipment and business software.
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage moderately complex issues, and escalat[e] higher-risk matters appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive management, policy, labor, or regulatory information with professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Compliance certification from a recognized trade organization, such as CUCE, NCCO, or CRCM.
  • Experience reviewing marketing materials, advertisements, disclosures, website content, forms, and related documents for compliance.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring compliance specialists or other compliance team members.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-related claims, FTCA processes, medical malpractice claims, lending laws, or highly regulated environments.
