Job summary

Georgia Department of Labor is seeking a Compliance Investigator 1 - TLB in Atlanta to support unemployment insurance identification verification and overpayment cases. Under supervision, you will gather evidence, prepare case files for potential civil or criminal actions, and handle required reports while delivering customer service on verification processes.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 2+ years of investigative experience, 4+ years in processing claims, and strong interview

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional investigative experience with a state, federal or local governmental entity.
• Four or more years experience processing and/or adjudicating claims/rendering overpayment determinations.
• Ability to use proper and effective investigative and interview techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Gathers pertinent documents and evidence to support findings.
• Assists in preparing cases for overpayment establishment, civil action and criminal prosecution.
• Processes required department, state and federal reports per established guidelines.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding identification verification requirements and other areas of assignment.
• Responses to customer emails, faxes, phone calls and other correspondence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
