Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting an Environmental Compliance Engineer for a leading power generation company. You will lead air permitting and environmental compliance across a fleet of assets and project sites.

The role requires 5+ years of environmental compliance experience, strong knowledge of Clean Air Act programs, and the ability to travel regularly to project sites. You will partner with operations to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and mobilization timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience with strong air permitting expertise.
• Knowledge of Clean Air Act programs, emissions calculations, and regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with SPCC, RCRA, and stormwater permitting requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as the primary environmental resource for operations, providing guidance on permitting requirements, compliance obligations, and mobilization timelines while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
