Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Analyst - Compliance Risk in McLean, VA. You will lead a broad analytics program, partner with Legal, Risk and Technology, and drive compliance testing strategy across the enterprise.

You will manage a team of data analysts and scientists, hire and mentor talent, and communicate complex analytical results to senior leaders. A strong background in quantitative analysis and open source data tools is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with 7+ years analytics experience, or a Master’s with 5+ years.
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis experience.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Drive current and future Compliance Testing tooling and analytical strategy.
• Plan and execute Compliance Testing analytical projects.
• Act as liaison between engineers, data scientists, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assess tools risks and opportunities in analytical platforms.
• Research and prototype industry best practices for new analytical tools.
• Communicate results clearly via reports and presentations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
