Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Running discovery projects to ascertain and document how personal data comprehensively is collected/received, used, stored, shared, and expired by an organization.
  • Develop GDPR Article 30 Records of Processing Activities.
  • Performing compliance gap assessments and developing remediation strategies.
  • Developing and carrying out procedures to complete requests for privacy rights.
  • Drafting privacy policies and notices.
  • Vendor vetting and contracting.
  • Instituting privacy-by-design and performing privacy impact assessments.
  • Orchestrating privacy and data protection training.
  • Establishing privacy and data protection governance models and KPIs.
  • Supporting inquiries from customers, partners, and regulators.

Strong knowledge and awareness of global privacy frameworks, such as the GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws, EU‑US DPF, CAN‑SPAM, COPPA, HIPAA, GLBA, and other sectoral laws, and ISO 27701.

Experience in project management to track and communicate privacy and data protection issues on both a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staff.

Experience preparing reports and other deliverables that contain strategy, project, or technical analysis and findings, and presenting those results to the team and the client.

Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

Strong technical writing skills.

Highly organized, self‑motivated, and self‑directed.

Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cybersecurity consulting and/or auditing (on standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST).
  • SaaS technical proficiency (an understanding of basic cloud infrastructure principles, common subservices, data warehousing, etc.).
  • AI/ML, IoT, and/or adtech working knowledge.
  • Obtained or in pursuit of a privacy credential, such as the CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, etc.
Responsibilities

Planning and leading privacy and data protection compliance projects with clients, such as personal data discovery exercises, gap analysis and remediation planning, and policy, procedures, and control design and implementation.

Developing and iterating on high‑quality deliverables.

Managing multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Keeping a pulse on privacy and data protection trends and issues.

Collaborating with team members at all levels.

Supporting client relationships.

Working with the clients’ outside counsel.

Adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

Business travel is not required.
