Job summary

OnePay, the consumer fintech backed by Walmart, is seeking a Compliance Controls & Monitoring leader to strengthen the firm’s control environment across the product lifecycle. This role partners across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Risk and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements into durable controls and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Compliance, Risk, or a related second-line function in financial services.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and control documentation.
• Ability to collaborate across regulatory change management and third-party risk.
• Experience using data analytics or AI-enabled tools to improve monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Compliance to influence outcomes.
• Maintain and enhance the compliance control framework with inventories, mapping, ownership, and monitoring.
• Support enterprise risk assessment processes, risk registers, and risk ratings calibration.
• Develop and refine risk-based monitoring, including exception reporting and data reviews.
• Suggest and implement automation and analytics to improve monitoring efficiency.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Change, Operational Change, and Third-Party Risk Management on impacts.
• Partner with product teams to document controls prior to launch and provide post-launch oversight.
• Prepare concise leadership and governance reports with key observations and actions.
• Provide second-line challenge on control design and remediation.
