Job summary

The Operations Review Specialist for DGS Office of External Affairs will support the CACFP program in the Florida Department of Health's central office in Tallahassee. You will evaluate contractor applications, provide technical assistance and training, and render eligibility determinations with independent judgment.

The role requires two years of relevant experience, familiarity with CACFP regulations, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work
• Knowledge of federal and state Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations, rules, requirements and procedures
• Ability to interpret federal and state regulations and procedures, analyze processes, and identify solutions
• Strong computer skills and use of standard software packages
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and establish effective working relationships
• Willingness to physically come to the office and travel to present information to contractors

Responsibilities

• Provide service delivery for the CACFP, including evaluation and approval of contractor applications
• Offer technical assistance and training to contractors
