Job summary

ECS4Kids, formerly Episcopal Children’s Services, is seeking a Child Care Food Program Specialist to manage nutrition responsibilities for Head Start, Early Head Start and ECS centers in Florida. You will ensure CACFP compliance, track applications, and coordinate with vendors and health authorities.

The role requires a degree in health or nutrition with 1-3 years of experience; RD/RDN is a plus. The agency offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in health, nutrition or related field with 1-3 years related work experience preferred
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance or reporting of noncompliance with Head Start, Early Head Start and CACFP contracts.
• Provide direct communication with Food Service Vendors & Department of Health.
• Process and track the CACFP applications for assigned centers each fiscal year.
• Complete day-to-day record keeping tasks required by the USDA.
• Monitor meals in Head Start/Early Head Start to meet CACFP regs and standards.
• Train kitchen and center staff annually on CCFP, DCF, DOH requirements and safety.
• Prepare and distribute nutrition materials for centers as needed.
• Assist families in obtaining appropriate food for children with allergies.
