Job summary

Tanknology, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Field Technician – Travel Position to join our apprenticeship program and become certified. You will work on diverse sites, perform testing, installations, and repairs, and document results using TANCS.

Applicants must live within 60 minutes of the advertised city and be able to travel across multiple states, with overnight stays and per diem as applicable. A high school diploma or GED is required, and safety is our top priority.

Compliance Field Technician – Travel Position w/ Tanknology

Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Field Service Technician Apprentice. As a Field Service Technician, you will learn through an apprenticeship style program until you are certified. In this role you will work on various job sites, performing testing, installations, and repairs while using our proprietary software, TANCS, to record your findings.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct site assessments and surveys
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems
• Enter and analyze test results, communicating findings to the Operations team
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electricians, carpenters, or cable technicians preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
• Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily
• Basic computer skills for data entry
• Effective communication skills
