Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, is seeking a Compliance Field Service Technician (often starting as an apprentice) to join its nationwide team dedicated to preventing fuel leaks in tanks and piping systems. The role combines fieldwork, technical skills, and compliance responsibilities, with opportunities for training and certification.
Key Responsibilities
Conductsite assessments and surveysfor compliance and safety.
Performleak testson fuel storage tanks and piping systems.
Install and test tank gauge systemsand other equipment.
Enter and analyze test resultsusing proprietary software (TANCS) and communicate findings to the Operations team.
Manage and report inventoryof parts and supplies on company vehicles.
Performequipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Maintainsafety compliancein all work activities
Qualifications & Skills
Mechanical aptitudewith experience in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or cable installation (preferred).
Ability tolift up to 70 lbsand perform physical tasks like stooping, bending, and kneeling.
Basic computer skillsfor data entry and use of TANCS software.
Effective communication skillsand customer service orientation.
High school diploma or GED required.
Willingness to undergoDOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check.
Ability totravel across multiple states, sometimes staying overnight (hotel and per diem provided)
Field-based work on various job sites.
Commitment tosafetyandquality compliance.
Energetic, hands‑on attitude with a desire to contribute to company growth.
Must live within a reasonable distance (e.g., 60 minutes) of the advertised location in some postings
