Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Compliance Coding Auditor-Educator. You will serve as the subject matter expert for proper coding procedures and education in CPT, ICD and HCC coding.

The role focuses on auditing medical records, reporting results, and delivering training to staff and providers. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and CPC or RHIT certification, with an HIM auditing designation preferred; minimum 2 years of coding and auditing experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or RHIT is required; Certified Auditor of HIM designation is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience coding, reimbursement analysis, insurance issue resolution and medical record auditing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads audit projects for medical record integrity.
• Reports audit results utilizing a standard reporting process.
• Identifies new errors while performing audits, investigates and assesses root cause.
• Performs one-on-one Audit meetings and provides corrective educational guidance.
• Maintains complete knowledge and complies with all relevant insurance, CPT coding and diagnosis guidelines.
• Provides training for IHA staff and providers on CPT, ICD10 and HCC coding standards and procedures.
