Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Records Compliance Administrator to maintain student residency documentation, verify records, and ensure accuracy across the Student Information System. You will generate reports and communicate with families and school staff to support audits and reporting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years in administrative, records management, compliance, or data-entry roles.
  • Experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; PowerSchool SIS experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update student compliance records within the Student Information System.
  • Review, collect, verify, and process residency documentation.
  • Monitor records for missing, incomplete, or expired documents.
  • Ensure records are accurate and compliant with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Generate reports and track compliance metrics using SIS and other tools.
  • Communicate requirements and discrepancies with families and school staff.
  • Assist with audits, state reporting, and internal compliance reviews.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information under FERPA.
  • Support enrollment and records management processes as needed.
  • Identify and resolve data entry errors timely.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:

Ohio resident preferred Will consider applicants from a surrounding state to Ohio within one hundred miles from the Ohio border. Border states include Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana. Applicants must be able to meet travel requirements and be willing and able to obtain Ohio Certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain and update student compliance records within the Student Information System.
  • Review, collect, verify, and process required student residency documentation.
  • Monitor student records for missing, incomplete, or expired documentation and take appropriate action to obtain required information.
  • Ensure student records are accurate, current, and compliant with applicable state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Generate reports and track compliance metrics using the Student Information System and other software tools.
  • Communicate with families, school staff, and external agencies regarding documentation requirements and record discrepancies.
  • Assist with audits, state reporting, and internal compliance reviews by providing accurate documentation and records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and records in accordance with FERPA and organizational policies.
  • Support enrollment and records management processes as needed.
  • Identify and resolve data entry errors and record inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related administrative, records management, compliance, or data-entry experience required.
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred.
  • PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; knowledge of Excel preferred.
  • Ability to analyze records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple database systems and software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school. The noise level at meeting locations throughout the state is typically moderate and should not vary much from what is experienced in the home office.
