Job summary

Amivero in the United States seeks a Compliance Analyst to support IT policy, compliance, and governance across lifecycle management and mandates. You will conduct research, assess regulatory alignment, and develop findings to strengthen IT governance and risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with legal, audit, and IT leadership to ensure policies and procedures stay current and auditable, with strong emphasis on documentation and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, public policy, business, compliance, or related field.
  • 3+ years as a technical writer in IT policy, compliance, or governance.
  • Experience IT compliance, policy analysis, risk management, or governance.
  • Experience mentoring junior Compliance Analysts.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to interpret regulatory language.
  • Experience with compliance tracking, audit support, and documentation standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel) and compliance tracking tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Role may be remote or hybrid depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis of regulatory, statutory, and organizational requirements affecting IT operations.
  • Perform compliance assessments and gap analyses, and document findings with supporting evidence.
  • Develop recommendations and corrective action plans to address identified compliance gaps or risks.
  • Support audit readiness activities, including documentation review and evidence compilation.
  • Track and report on compliance status, remediation progress, and mandate implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Writer and other team members to ensure findings are reflected in policy documentation.
  • Maintain compliance tracking logs and risk registers for leadership review.

The Gist…

The Compliance Analyst supports the organization's IT Policy and Compliance program by conducting research, analysis, and evaluation across IT Lifecycle Management, Policy Analysis and Compliance, IT Process and System Optimization, and Executive Order and Mandate Management. This role identifies regulatory and policy requirements, assesses organizational alignment against those requirements, and develops findings and recommendations that support IT governance, risk mitigation, and standardized decision-making.

The Compliance Analyst works closely with the Technical Writer, IT leadership, legal and audit staff, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that policies, procedures, and IT processes remain compliant, current, and aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.

What Your Day Might Include…

  • Maintain compliance tracking logs, risk registers, and status reports for leadership review.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Public Policy, Business, Compliance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably supporting IT policy, compliance, or governance documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT compliance, policy analysis, risk management, or a related governance role.
  • Experience mentoring junior Compliance Analysts
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory language and assess organizational impact.
  • Experience with compliance tracking, audit support processes, and documentation standards.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and compliance tracking or reporting tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent analyses and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Position may be remote or hybrid depending on client requirements.
