Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join its global Compliance team in the United States. The role focuses on interpreting regulatory requirements, guiding merchant onboarding and due diligence, and driving cross-functional compliance initiatives across projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience and strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and experience.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, business analysis, or risk management requirements within a corporate environment.
  • Ability to evaluate complex business requirements and relate them to technical designs, system functionality, and downstream processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including developing presentations, client communications, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Experience supporting compliance, risk, onboarding, due diligence, or regulatory programs within the financial services or payments industry is a plus.
  • Experience with project management and software development methodologies, including working closely with technical teams.
  • A collaborative mindset that embraces diverse perspectives, builds strong partnerships, and helps teams succeed together while maintaining a strong focus on compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret regulatory and compliance requirements to identify business and system changes necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Facilitate U.S. merchant onboarding and due diligence activities in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive compliance activities across multiple initiatives and projects, ensuring adherence to corporate methodologies, reporting standards, and escalation procedures.
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into effective business and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to evaluate legal and regulatory requirements while supporting strategic product objectives and maintaining compliance.
  • Provide compliance guidance and subject matter expertise on proposed technical solutions, business processes, and operational impacts.
