Position
We are seeking a diligent and detail‑oriented Compliance Administrator to join our team. The Compliance Administrator will play a key role in ensuring that our firm remains in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position reports directly to the Director of Default Operations and involves collaborating with various departments within the firm.
The role involves problem solving, project management, and risk management. You will address issues timely, have a critical eye for detail and utilize high‑level organizational skills to ensure firm records, libraries, and distributions are well processed and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Maintain policies and procedures archive and assist with drafting, review, and approval of same.
- Initial review, documentation, storage, and distribution of client alerts.
- Execution and/or oversight of scheduled audits, including regularly scheduled office clean‑desk and security audits.
- Review of scorecards for compliance violations or potential risk as evidenced by client notes or findings.
- Assist with compliance remediation plans and trainings.
- Maintain a presence on client calls and with clients to reinforce relationships and understand client expectations.
- Assist with vendor management to ensure third‑party vendors and service providers meet the firm's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work with the management of various operational teams and employees to foster good relationships and an “open door” policy for compliance needs.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and other business-related activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, exhibiting high self‑motivation and initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively.
- Prior experience in compliance, risk management, vendor management or legal administration, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced Power Query skills.
- Experience in data visualization and analysis using Power BI.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Monday.com or Microsoft Project.
