MITRE’s Complex Systems Department seeks an Associate Complex Systems Modeler to apply modeling, analysis, and research to national importance problems in areas like national security, healthcare, and transportation.

You will work with government sponsors, build analytic models, and present results in clear terms to diverse audiences, while staying current with open-source tools and AI advances. This position also requires a minimum of three days on-site in Massachusetts.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or related social sciences with computational experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply, modify, and formulate rigorous models and processes to solve challenging problems.
• Experience manipulating large datasets with at least one modern programming language or BI platform (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Java, Julia, SAS, C++, JavaScript).
• Experience leveraging analytical tools to visualize multi-dimensional data and conduct analysis (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
• Comfort with modern AI tools (LLMs) and their application, evaluation, and validation.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government security clearance; US citizenship required.
• On-site work requirement: minimum of three days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Formulate and develop models, simulations, and analytic tools for complex dynamic systems.
• Develop research questions and test hypotheses with open-ended tasking.
• Collaborate with government sponsors to understand challenges and analyze solutions.
• Develop and apply analytic models for sponsor challenges, adapting in a fast-paced environment.
• Present results in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
• Stay current on open-source, industry, academia, and US Government techniques for modeling and data science.
• Take initiative and be a collaborative teammate.
