You will manage a book of MMF Professional Liability Claims through the lifecycle, applying advanced coverage interpretation, clinical issue spotting, and prudent reserving. In this high-visibility role, you will lead claim strategy, coordinate clinical resources and experts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; J.D. is a plus.
• 7+ years of claims/legal experience; technical specialty preferred.
• Medical malpractice claims experience strongly desired.
• Advanced knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Professional Liability Claims from first notice through resolution: investigate, analyze coverage, evaluate liability and damages, establish and adjust reserves, negotiate settlements and close files within authority.
• Perform advanced coverage analysis and prepare clear coverage opinions and communications.
• Document claims thoroughly using the Claims Management System and diary follow-ups.
• Set reserves within authority; elevate reserves for matters outside authority; review reserves regularly.
