Responsibilities
- Draft briefs, motions, and other court filings with precision.
- Take and defend depositions as part of case preparation.
- Appear in court for hearings, arguments, and case management conferences.
- Collaborate closely with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
- Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters related to consumer and employment law.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and filings.
- Handle discovery, including the drafting of discovery requests and responses.
- Provide clients with regular updates and legal advice throughout the litigation process.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a litigation attorney in a comparable role.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in legal research, brief writing, and court filings.
- Experience in managing litigation matters and participating in hearings and depositions.
- Comfortable with client interaction and handling complex case issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active license to practice law in California.
