Job description

Zurich is currently looking for an experienced claims adjuster to join our Complex Liability Claims team.

This position is fully remote and can be filled anywhere in the US. It involves managing complex commercial high-exposure auto and general liability claims and litigation involving bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, and advertising injury. The Claims Specialist is responsible for proactively managing claims and litigation effectively in accordance with our Best Practices while delivering outstanding customer service. Regular communication with customers, brokers, our Business Units, and senior Claims management is required.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing and resolving high-severity injury claims and litigation across multiple jurisdictions, with proven skills in time and caseload management. Accurate documentation of claim files and updating claims data in line with best practices are essential.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience managing commercial general liability and/or auto claims and litigation, including high-severity claims
• Juris Doctor and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
• Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 6+ years of experience in Claims and/or Litigation Management
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Must obtain and retain required adjuster licenses

Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products is required.

Preferred Qualifications :

• JD, SCLA, AIC, or CPCU certifications
• Experience working collaboratively across teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in resolving severe bodily injury and property damage claims in multiple jurisdictions
• Strong skills in coverage evaluation and negotiation
• Proven organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently

At Zurich, compensation varies based on location, role, skills, and experience. The proposed salary range is $75,000 - $130,000, with a 15% short-term incentive bonus.
