American Modern Insurance Group is seeking a dedicated Liability Claims Specialist to join our team remotely from Phoenix, United States. This role involves overseeing the investigation and resolution of complex, non-litigated property damage and bodily injury claims arising from our specialty insurance products.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, investigate, and assess policy coverage applicability.
- Conduct investigative activities, including securing recorded statements and obtaining relevant documentation.
- Investigate and document damages following established claims processes.
- Evaluate and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
- Ensure compliance with state mandates.
- Identify potential fraud, salvage, subrogation, or litigation issues and refer appropriately.
- Manage external vendors to handle claims efficiently while controlling expenses.
Qualifications:
- At least five years of liability claims handling experience.
- Proficiency with claims systems, applications, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong research and investigative skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, adaptable to change.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of insurance and medical terminology.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Analytical skills for data review and analysis.
- Industry-related training or coursework such as AIC, CPCU, or SCLA.
