Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Florida; southeastern licensure is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation (construction exposure a plus).
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated litigation experience.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, construction, and high-exposure matters
  • Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Assist clients in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation and arbitration
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and drive matters toward resolution
  • Provide proactive legal guidance on risk management, compliance, and dispute avoidance
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively on case developments

Job Details

We are seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced attorneys on complex, high-stakes commercial disputes across a range of industries, including construction, contract, and business litigation matters. The team is open to attorneys coming from insurance defense and other related litigation defense backgrounds, particularly those with strong deposition, motion practice, and case management experience. This opportunity offers the chance to transition into sophisticated construction-related matters while continuing to build on a strong litigation foundation.
