Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver proficient care for patients with varying complexities. The role reports to the Nurse Leader and works with the clinical coach/designee to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborating on standards of care, documenting comprehensive plans, and advocating for patients while maintaining safety and high-quality care. Perinatal nurses require EFM certification within 12–15 months.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN degree preferred; if you have an Associate's, you must enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire and complete within 4 years.
• DC RN license and CPR certification required; EFM certification for perinatal nurses within 12–15 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient nursing care from uncomplicated to highly complex.
• Collaborate with leaders to develop standards of care and plans of care.
• Document data integrating assessment, pathophysiology and treatment for patient status.
• Act as a patient advocate and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Support safety, quality, and patient experience through the interdisciplinary plan of care.
