Position Summary

Coordinate sheet metal activities related to the completion and repair of new and used aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers to cut, bend, block, form, or straighten materials.
  2. Clean up work area at the end of shift.
  3. Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments like calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers.
  4. Maintain cleanliness of the work area at shift end.
  5. Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers; develop and trace patterns using templates.
  6. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  7. Work in the SAP system for sign-offs and logging time on jobs.
  8. Work overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of helicopter experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles as applied to aviation; ability to interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical publications
