Job description

We are seeking a girls team coach for competitive gymnastics focused on the National Gymnastics Association (Xcel levels) rules and policies, with strong spotting and assistance experience. This is intended to be a full-time position, but part-time opportunities may be available with potential to grow to full-time. What is your interest? Purpose: The purpose of a Team Coach is to support the growth and development of the girls NGA competitive gymnastics teams. The coach must be prepared to lead a team, instructing students at assigned levels, from Prep Team to Diamond levels, and other levels as assigned for a full-time role.

Success is measured by the ability to foster smiles and skills, build loyalty through active learning, and track students' progress to the next level. Coaches work under the guidance of the Head Coach, who sets the standards for instruction.

CSC coaches collaborate with site leadership and other coaches to enhance the customer experience for students, parents, and staff.

Hours per week: This is a full-time position (may be part-time as noted), including afternoons, evenings, Saturdays, and competition travel. Part-time positions are also considered.

Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additional compensation is available for competitions, travel, and private lessons.

Qualifications: Background in child-related services or youth sports coaching, previous competitive gymnastics and coaching experience, and a positive, energetic attitude. Specific level experience will be discussed during hiring.

Training/Education: CPR, First Aid certification, and active USA Gymnastics membership are required. A BS degree in Kinesiology, Child Development, or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills: Excellent communication, planning, leadership, organizational skills, and proven spotting ability for skills up to L3-10.

Duties include:

• Teach and coach children, demonstrating safe and developmentally appropriate techniques.
• Develop gymnasts at all levels, focusing on assigned levels and four-event responsibilities.
• Create lesson plans tailored to your groups/levels.
• Assist with equipment safety, planning, and cleanliness.
• Maintain regular communication with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Keep skill cards and progress reports updated.
• Attend training and review policies regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
