Job summary

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP seeks a detail-oriented Human Resources Data Analyst to support compensation, pay-equity, and compliance initiatives for professional staff. This role will partner closely with the CHRO, HR colleagues, and firm leaders to analyze salary structures, support competitive market positioning, and help ensure compliance with evolving pay-transparency requirements.

The Analyst will work in our Washington, DC office in a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; business-related field preferred.
• At least three years of data analytics experience supporting a large multi-location employer.
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables; Smartsheet experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG/UltiPro is a plus.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze professional staff compensation to support strategy and compliance.
• Conduct compensation analyses and market pricing for roles.
• Partner with CHRO and HR to advise on recruiting offers and pay equity.
• Maintain compensation programs and tools in compliance with laws.
• Support pay-transparency compliance across jurisdictions.
• Assist with pay equity-related action planning and policy updates.
• Research market data and salary surveys to recommend enhancements.
• Prepare compensation communications and governance materials.
• Review and update job descriptions with HR leadership.
