Arnold & Porter is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Data Analyst to support compensation, pay-equity, and compliance initiatives for professional staff in our Washington, DC office on a hybrid schedule.

The role involves analyzing salary structures, market pricing, and pay policies to inform leadership and ensure compliance with evolving pay-transparency requirements. This position partners with the CHRO and HR colleagues to drive pay decisions and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; business-related field preferred.
• 3+ years of data analytics or equivalent experience supporting a large, multi-location employer.
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables; Smartsheet experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows; experience with HRIS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze professional staff compensation to support strategy, market position, and compliance.
• Conduct compensation analyses and market pricing for roles considering trends and internal equity.
• Provide compensation guidance for recruiting, offers, and pay-equity decisions.
• Maintain and evaluate compensation programs in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Support pay-transparency compliance across jurisdictions.
• Research compensation best practices and salary-survey data; recommend enhancements.
