Green Key Resources is proud to partner with an iconic and highly respected media organization that's seeking an experienced Compensation professional to serve as a strategic advisor responsible for the development, administration, and continuous enhancement of compensation programs across a multi-state workforce. Sitting on the Total Rewards and HR team, this individual contributor role will partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation solutions that support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise Human Resources and business leaders on compensation strategy, job leveling, pay recommendations, and salary structures.
- Evaluate complex compensation matters across multiple business functions while balancing internal equity, market competitiveness, and financial considerations.
- Lead annual compensation programs, including merit planning, incentive administration, promotional reviews, and salary adjustment processes.
- Conduct market analyses, benchmark positions, and leverage survey data to support compensation decisions and organizational planning.
- Partner with leadership, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance teams on compensation initiatives related to workforce planning, labor relations, and organizational change.
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local compensation regulations, including evolving pay transparency requirements.
- Manage relationships with external compensation consultants, survey providers, and technology partners.
- Assess compensation-related tools and data sources to ensure they effectively support business objectives and reward strategies.
- Utilize HR systems and compensation technology platforms to improve process efficiency, reporting accuracy, and program scalability.
- Collaborate with HRIS and operational teams to enhance systems, automate processes, and improve reporting capabilities.
- Support organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and compensation modeling initiatives.
- Partner with Finance on incentive plan administration and performance-based compensation programs.
- Develop training materials and provide guidance to leaders on compensation practices, policies, and decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of employee compensation communications and reward statements.
- Maintain strong governance, documentation, audit controls, and quality assurance processes for compensation programs and related deliverables.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive compensation experience within a corporate environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional compensation certification is a plus.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and provide consultative guidance to leaders at varying levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated success building partnerships across Human Resources, Finance, and operational leadership teams.
- Experience interpreting compensation market data and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including compensation modeling and large dataset management.
- Experience administering compensation surveys, market-pricing methodologies, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with compensation technology platforms and HR information systems.
- Strong understanding of U.S. compensation regulations, multi-state pay practices, and pay transparency requirements.
- Exposure to unionized environments, labor-related compensation matters, or collective bargaining agreements is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively within a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
