Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Compensation Specialist to support the organization’s compensation programs and processes, including data management, reporting, job documentation, and compensation transaction administration. Salary range is $28.87–$41.50 per hour, and pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer compensation transactions in accordance with policies, programs, and pay practices.
• Identify and submit corrections for incomplete or improperly formatted data; respond with status updates.
• Support benchmarking, annual pay increases, and incentive programs within HR compensation.
• Respond to Tier II cases from Employee Services regarding compensation data changes.
• Utilize tools and technologies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting in HR systems.
