Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a growing, employee-owned manufacturing company in Grand Rapids to recruit a Compensation and Benefits Specialist. This role will manage a comprehensive benefits program, payroll-related processes, HRIS administration, and compensation data in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

You will serve as the primary contact for benefits and compensation questions, leverage Workday and ADP, and collaborate with HR and leadership to ensure accurate changes

Responsibilities

• Administer and support a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, wellness initiatives, and 401(k) plans
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit and compensation-related questions, ensuring a positive employee experience
• Partner with HR, payroll, and leadership teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes and compensation updates
• Leverage Workday and ADP to maintain employee data, benefit enrollments, compensation records, and reporting
• Coordinate open enrollment activities and assist with benefit renewals, audits, and vendor relationships
• Resolve benefit administration issues while working directly with insurance carriers and third-party providers
• Support compensation administration, including pay-related inquiries and policy interpretation
• Process and monitor payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefit-related transactions
• Prepare reports, analyze compensation and benefits data, and provide insights to support HR initiatives
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
• Backup to payroll and additional HR functions
