Job summary

Hayes Company and Knight-Swift Supply Chain are seeking a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to design, administer, analyze, and communicate compensation and benefits programs. You will benchmark compensation, manage salary structures, analyze data, and ensure compliance across locations, including wage differentials and open enrollment processes.

The role partners with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, and leadership to ensure competitive, cost-effective programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or HR analytics.
• Experience with compensation survey participation, market pricing, and salary structure analysis.
• Experience administering benefits programs and coordinating with carriers and vendors.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Certifications such as CCP, CEBS, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using survey tools and market data.
• Prepare salary recommendations for hires, promotions, and market adjustments.
• Analyze internal equity, compa-ratios, range penetration, and pay compression issues.
• Assist with annual compensation planning, merit increases, bonus programs, and salary budgeting.
• Analyze compensation trends and provide leadership with recommendations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to guide offers and hiring strategies.
• Maintain compensation data in HRIS and compensation systems.
• Conduct job evaluations, documentation, level assignment, and FLSA determinations.
• Support salary structures, pay bands, and job architecture across populations.
• Perform wage analysis for hourly and multi-shift warehouse roles.
• Support geographic differential analysis and market pricing for new locations (e.g., Las Vegas, Indiana).
• Support pay equity analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Monitor pay transparency compliance in job postings and state data reporting.
