Job summary

GRAND RIVER DAM AUTHORITY seeks a Compensation Analyst Senior to design, implement, and manage competitive pay programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience with compensation data, and collaboration with HR leadership.

You will lead the annual salary review, perform benchmarking, ensure compliance with labor laws, and create detailed reports for executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR, business, finance required.
  • 7+ years of experience in compensation analysis or HR roles with a focus on compensation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws related to compensation.

  • Analyze, maintain and develop competitive compensation structures, including pay grades, ranges and career leveling.
  • Lead the annual salary review process, including budgeting, analysis, and communication.
  • Partner with HR leadership to align compensation programs with business objectives.
  • Create and present detailed compensation reports and dashboards for executive leadership.

This position requires expertise in analyzing compensation data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic recommendations to align pay practices with organizational goals. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of compensation practices, and the ability to handle complex projects with minimal supervision.Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Analyze, maintain and develop competitive compensation structures, including pay grades, ranges and career leveling.Lead the annual salary review process, including budgeting, analysis, and communication.Partner with HR leadership to align compensation programs with business objectives.Monitor trends and best practices in compensation to ensure competitive positioning.Conduct job evaluations to determine appropriate pay levels and classifications.Perform benchmarking studies and salary surveys to maintain market competitiveness.Analyze internal pay equity and recommend adjustments as needed.Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO).Prepare and submit required compliance reports.Maintain accurate documentation of compensation plans and job descriptions and provide governance.Create and present detailed compensation reports and dashboards for executive leadership.Provide insights through data analytics on pay practices, trends, and program effectiveness.Serve as a compensation subject matter expert and advisor to HR Business Partners and leadership.Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on compensation practices and policies.Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Finance teams to align overall rewards strategy.Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear, concise manner.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities.Education, Training, Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.7+ years of experience in compensation analysis or HR roles with a focus on compensation.Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws related to compensation.Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar) preferredExperience with compensation tools or platforms (e.g., PayScale, MarketPay, or similar) preferred.Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification preferred.Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:Work is performed in an office setting.Other information:Position is located at the Administrative Center in Chouteau, OK.or the Engineering & Technology Center in Tulsa, OK.Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualificationsHighly competitive benefits packageIf you’re passionate about growth, teamwork, and making an impact, you’ll love building your career with us.
