Job summary

American University, located in Washington, DC, seeks a Compensation Analyst to join the Total Rewards and Service Delivery team. You will provide consultation and analysis for compensation actions, including market pricing, survey responses, and salary structures.

The role partners with HR and management to deliver data-driven insights, support annual salary planning, and contribute to projects from job classification to equity studies. This is a hybrid, full-time position in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with market pricing, salary surveys, and benchmarking data.
• Proficiency in Excel and HRIS data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on job leveling, FLSA classifications, and pay bands for new/modified staff positions.
• Conduct market pricing and benchmarking studies; analyze survey data.
• Prepare reports on compensation trends and data insights; support annual salary planning.
• Collaborate with HR and business units on compensation programs and policies.
• Support Workday testing, configuration updates, and data integrity.
