  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions reflect the work performed.
  • Interviews and surveys employees and managers to gather job, organizational, and occupational information.
  • Assesses jobs to determine exempt/nonexempt status and salary ranges.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation ranges.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys and analyzes results.
  • Evaluates job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Conducts data and cost analyses.
  • Researches employee benefits and recommends changes.
  • Conducts focus groups to collect feedback on benefits and compensation topics.
