AMSURG is a leader in ambulatory surgery center services, operating 250+ centers nationwide. We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to coordinate governance, partner with HR, Operations, and Payroll, and ensure compensation actions are reviewed, approved, and documented accurately.

This role is Remote First with a strong emphasis on collaboration, data integrity, and process improvement across the ASC network. Bachelor's in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Compensation, HR, Payroll, Operations, or related function preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with governance, approval, or workflow management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate compensation governance requests from submission through final approval and processing.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Directors of Operations, and Payroll to facilitate compensation-related transactions.
  • Review requests for completeness, accuracy, policy alignment, and required approvals.
  • Coordinate Governance Committee meetings: scheduling, agendas, materials, decisions, and follow-up.
  • Track governance workflow timelines and ensure timely follow-up on items.
  • Maintain documentation of compensation approvals, market adjustments, incentives, and promotions.
  • Provide guidance on compensation processes, policies, and governance requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency in compensation programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for coordinating and administering compensation-related requests and governance processes across the organization's Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This role serves as a key partner to HR Business Partners, Operations leadership, Directors of Operations, Center Administrators, and Payroll to ensure compensation actions are reviewed, approved, documented, and processed accurately and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and manage compensation governance requests from submission through final approval and processing.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Directors of Operations, Operations leaders, Center Administrators, and Payroll to facilitate compensation-related transactions.
  • Review requests for completeness, accuracy, policy alignment, and required approvals.
  • Coordinate Compensation Governance Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, preparation and distribution of meeting materials, documentation of decisions, and follow-up on action items. Serve as the primary coordinator for the governance process, ensuring meetings are well-organized, stakeholders are prepared, and committee operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Track and monitor governance workflow timelines, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to compensation approvals, market adjustments, incentives, promotions, and other compensation actions.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding compensation processes, policies, and governance requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiencies within compensation programs.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and status updates for leadership as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong project management and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience partnering and building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, Operations, and Payroll teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, develop agendas, prepare materials, document outcomes, and track action items.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar workflow/project management tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting governance, approval, compliance, or workflow management processes preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and stakeholder support.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Compensation, Human Resources, Payroll, Operations, Project Coordination, or a related function.
