Job summary

ExpertCare in Southeast Michigan is seeking Youth Mentors to provide 1:1 support in clients' homes, helping with daily living skills and personal goals. You will engage with recipients with patience and care, following individual care plans.

You will also take recipients into the community to build confidence, independence, and social connections, while coordinating with families and caregivers and ensuring safety and consistency.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and dependable required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities.
• Reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Pass required background checks and screenings.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with recipients in their homes.
• Support, encourage and assist with skill-building activities.
• Accompany recipients into the community to grow goals outside the home.
