Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and examine clients; record patient histories in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, dentistry, and anesthesia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, dispense medications as directed, and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, manage records and accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anesthesia; discharge or transfer as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and support with compassion and teamwork.
• Train new staff and help maintain a clean, organized hospital environment.
