Qualifications

• Completed college or college-equivalent education to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• At least 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor under stress.
• Telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document history in EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, dispense medications, and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay results, maintain inventory and records, and manage accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and care for sick patients; walk dogs when necessary.
• Participate in training of new staff and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain a clean hospital environment per maintenance schedule.
