VBSPCA Veterinary Clinic in Virginia Beach is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients, schedule appointments, and manage check-in/out with compassion and professionalism.

You will respond to calls and emails, provide information about services and pricing, and help create a welcoming experience for clients and their pets while supporting a collaborative, patient-focused team in a state-of-the-art clinic.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience; experience in a medical or veterinary setting is preferred.
• The ability to work collaboratively with people of different backgrounds, personalities, and communication styles.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in an active environment.
• A willingness and enthusiasm to learn, gain experience, and expand their knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a good sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for our clients, welcoming each person with compassion, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Schedule appointments and efficiently manage client check-in and check-out
• Answer and manage phone and email communications, ensuring questions and requests are appropriately prioritized and routed
• Provide helpful and knowledgeable information about our services, pricing, and veterinary care
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service
• Help create a welcoming, supportive experience for clients navigating their pets’ healthcare needs
