• Excellent verbal and written communication; conflict resolution.
• Comfort around animals of varying sizes and temperaments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system; assist with appointment scheduling, prescriptions, vaccination records, and general hospital information.
• Handle client checkout, process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information, diagnoses, and care instructions, including end-of-life discussions with compassion.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and timely data entry in the practice management system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to relay client communications and manage patient flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area for a positive client experience.
