Qualifications

• Preferred to have at least 1-year previous experience working in veterinary practice or sufficient relatable animal care experience to ensure excellent performance at the above-listed skills

• Compassionate and sympathetic with the ability to maintain professionalism under stress
• Telephone and computer skills are essential
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and adapt to change

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, record weight and vital signs, and document visits in EMR
• Assist doctors with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and anesthesia under supervision
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, dispense medications as directed, and maintain EMR
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and update records
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and assist in training new staff
