Adams County Animal Hospital in Westminster, CO is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our small-animal general practice team. You will assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and procedures, prepare exam rooms, and support diagnostics and surgery.

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant experience preferred; motivated candidates with animal-care experience considered.
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and procedures.
• Restrain dogs and cats using compassionate, low-stress techniques.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, treatments, and sample collection.
• Support surgical and dental preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain hospital equipment and patient-care areas.
• Document patient information accurately and communicate with the medical team.
• Educate clients about medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Provide friendly, professional service to clients and their pets.
• Support teammates and assist with other hospital responsibilities as needed.
