Job summary

You will also assist with inventory, basic administrative duties, and quality patient records while delivering empathetic support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training as veterinary assistant or in animal care preferred.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling and safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare and restrain animals safely for medical procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
• Monitor vital signs and animal behavior under care.
• Provide compassionate care including feeding, exercise, and grooming as needed.
• Communicate basic care instructions and appointment scheduling to pet owners.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and proper storage.
• Support administrative tasks like maintaining patient records and processing payments.
