Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients arriving for appointments, escort to exam room, record weight and vital signs, and document visit in EMR.
• Assist doctors with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, process lab samples, handle and dispense medications as directed.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and maintain client/patient records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist in anesthesia; monitor vital signs during anesthesia and recovery.
• Administer in-hospital treatments including injectable and oral meds and IV fluids; ensure patients are fed and hydrated.
• Assist in training new staff and share knowledge as required.
• Keep hospital environment neat and clean; follow maintenance schedule.
