VetEvolve in Maryland seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians during outpatient exams and treatments, and to serve as a key link between clinicians and clients.

You will educate clients on vaccines and care plans, maintain medical records, assist with basic lab tasks, and help keep rooms clean and stocked. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including practice management software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with animals preferred; veterinary or animal care background valued.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals.
• Work safely around cleaning chemicals and anesthetic gases.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate, professional care to patients and clients.
• Assists veterinarian during exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries.
• Educates clients on vaccines, meds, and care plans.
• Maintains accurate medical records and enters treatment plans.
• Keeps exam rooms and hospital spaces clean, stocked, and organized.
• Handles client check-out and processes payments when needed.
